After most folks discover Beaufort, the quaint little town becomes their favorite vacation destination, and often, their second home. There are a handful of ways to reach us, making it easy to become your favorite spot to escape. You can make us the destination of a road trip, arrive by boat via the Intracoastal Waterway, fly into one of the regional airports or by bus through Amtrak … and we even have cyclists on month-long trips make us a stop.

BY BUS, TRAIN, & TAXI
Select Amtrak trains connect with two North Carolina Thruway buses in Wilson: one bus travels to Morehead City, with stops in Greenville, New Bern and Havelock on the northern route; the other bus travels to Wilmington with stops in Goldsboro, Kinston and Jacksonville on the southern route. Morehead City is just across the bridge from Beaufort. Once your bus stops, you can call one of the many cab companies in the area to help you reach Beaufort (see listings below).

Greyhound Bus goes to New Bern, NC, which is 44 miles from Beaufort by taxi or shuttle (see listings below).
